Grief, dying and death are all difficult to talk about. We will find just about anything else to talk about if we can. Avoiding these issues though, can have a negative impact on our relationships, health and overall quality of life.
My compassionate approach to these sensitive topics will provide you with the opportunity to have your pain witnessed and the freedom to express all of the feelings that accompany the difficult circumstances you are experiencing. Grief reaches us in many ways, from the death of a loved one, to the overwhelming experience of watching someone suffer with dementia. Whether your loss was expected or the unfortunate experience of a sudden death, support during these times can be most helpful.
I am a member of the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers. I adhere to a high standard of practice. Confidentiality and working within an ethical framework are of high importance in my work. I have studied under leading grief expert, David Kessler, and apply many of his theologies and insights as I support my clients.
As a Certified Grief Educator and End of Life Doula, you will be provided with experienced support through education, advocacy and will develop the skills needed to return to a meaningful life, all while still holding the memory of your loved one close to you.
Are you experiencing a difficult loss that is causing you to search for a healthier way to live?
Open and heartfelt conversation will bring peace and control back into your life.
“Grief is courage,
to keep stepping through
a life
that feels like is has
ended”
